TumbleBook Library is an interactive library of picture books for toddlers, preschoolers and early elementary students. A variety of picture books are put online with narration, animation, music and sounds. Each title includes the reading level and the Accelerated Reading score, which helps staff and parents personalize the choice.
Using TumbleBook is very easy – just choose a book to read by clicking on the picture. A second window opens up with the TumbleBook reader. This reader displays the book and allows the child to watch and read along using manual controls or automatic, to pause, to go backward and forward and to mute the narration.
On the top of the TumbleBook screen is a search box that allows you to search for books based on language and subject. Of particular note is the large collection of Spanish books. The tool bar lets you search for titles and authors and allows you to build a playlist of several books for consecutive viewing.
Some books include Word helper, which pronounces highlighted words slowly and clearly and games that highlight a variety of reading skills.
